Excerpt: The book “The Big Jump Into Entrepreneurship” by Dr. Ramesh Ramachandra, Founder and CEO of Talent Leadership Crucible (TLC)
How can we turn the knowledge we read in books into the most effective actions? The book “The Big Jump Into Entrepreneurship” was written in the 2000s, after my team trained and coached thousands of people to start their own businesses.
I wrote this book with the intention that readers would engage in some activities, think, and position themselves to understand where they are and where they are going.
My advice is to use this book as a guide, a workbook. While reading, hold a pencil in hand. And after reading, you will be among the 30% of people who say, “I will start a business today” because you will already have your business plan ready.
Or you will belong to the 30% who will never become entrepreneurs, but you will have partly gained the mindset of an entrepreneur and apply that mindset to where you work—whether it’s a private enterprise, a social enterprise, or if you are retired or a homemaker.
You might also be in the 30% of those who want to become entrepreneurs, but not right now for reasons like: “I need to pay off my debt, I need to wait for my children to grow up…” – waiting for the right time, the right opportunity to start.
I don’t know which group you belong to, but regardless of which group you are in, with this book, you will discover the group you belong to and apply the entrepreneurial spirit into effective actions.
