Excerpt from Chapter One, Page 62, “The Big Jump Into Entrepreneurship” by Dr. Ramesh Ramachandra, Founder & CEO of Talent Leadership Crucible (TLC).
“With the advent of information technology from the 1990s and the knowledge-based economy we live in today, individuals need to constantly update their skills and knowledge because we risk becoming obsolete very quickly. In short, you could find yourself redundant at any time.
And in this era, it’s not just those with little or no skills who face the threat of being laid off. Even those who are highly educated and skilled are not immune from this selection.
The global economy can be likened to a pond, where throwing a pebble in creates ripples across the entire surface. Those near the center of the ripples will certainly feel the rippling effects more so than those at the periphery. And of course, no region or country is spared this trend – not Asia, and certainly not Singapore or Vietnam.
With this uncertainty, it’s time we take charge of our own futures and become self-reliant. Perhaps, we can create our own livelihood by starting a business!”
Are you ready to embark on the path of self-reliance today? Learn how experienced entrepreneurs have taken charge of their lives, creating a positive impact on their families and society through Dr. Ramesh Ramachandra’s book “Entrepreneurship – The Big Jump.”
